What is the Pentacle Program?
Welcome! You have landed on this page because a minister of The Satanic Temple has reached out to you as part of their work in our skill-based award program called The Pentacle Program. On this page you will find some quick information about who The Satanic Temple is, what the Pentacle Program is, and what will be asked of you if you choose to help our minister earn the recognition they are pursuing.
What is The Satanic Temple?
The Satanic Temple is a nontheistic religious organization dedicated to compassion, justice, and noble pursuits. Our Mission Statement reads, “The Mission Of The Satanic Temple Is To Encourage Benevolence And Empathy, Reject Tyrannical Authority, Advocate Practical Common Sense, Oppose Injustice, And Undertake Noble Pursuits.” We do not worship Satan, or even believe in Satan as a literal being. Instead, we view Satan as the mythological embodiment of the outsider: a character from whom we can draw inspiration. You can find out more about the overall organization on The Satanic Temple's main website: thesatanictemple.com
The Satanic Temple launched our ordination program in 2021 as a way to promote learning and personal development among our leadership and members, and to strengthen our community. Being a minister in our organization requires learning about the philosophy and history of modern Satanism, and participating in our community in a way that models our values, such as the Seven Tenets.
What is the Pentacle Program?
The Pentacle Program is an applied curriculum for our ministers that helps cultivate confidence and mastery in domains specific to that minister’s calling. These include domains such as death and dying, sobriety and recovery, and more. If you choose to work with our minister, we are enormously grateful to you for being part of that minister’s development.
