Jewish Origins Of Esoteric Symbolism

This elective lesson examines the origins of a number of characters, names, and symbols appearing in modern Satanism and contemporary esoteric systems of belief that have their roots in Jewish mythology and folklore. The topic is first grounded in an overview of the basics of Jewish beliefs, and the development of Jewish mysticism. This is followed by a deeper exploration of Kabbalah and related concepts, and the many ways it has influenced contemporary esoteric thought. Finally, the lesson reviews some of the names and characters that Satanists are familiar with, and provides some background about their origins and associated mythological stories.
